Biograd na Moru: Day Trip, Beaches & Gateway to Krka
Biograd na Moru lies 45 minutes south of Petrčane — a lively harbour town with beaches, a fun park for families, and the perfect launchpad for visiting Krka National Park.
Biograd na Moru is a compact harbour town on the southern Dalmatian coast, about 45 minutes by car from Petrčane. It offers a good mix of beaches, family attractions and easy access to Krka National Park — making it a rewarding full-day trip.
Beaches
Biograd has several well-maintained beaches within easy walking distance of the centre. The main town beach has pebbly and sandy sections, with clear shallow water suitable for children. The promenade along the waterfront is pleasant for an early morning walk or evening stroll.
Fun Park Biograd (Mirnovec)
One of the larger amusement parks in Croatia, Fun Park Biograd features roller coasters, water attractions and dedicated zones for younger children. It's an ideal destination on a day when the family wants a break from the beach — plenty of shade, food options and rides for all ages.
Gateway to Krka National Park
From Biograd it's a relatively short drive to Krka National Park, famous for its series of travertine waterfalls and swimming areas (swimming is allowed in designated sections, unlike Plitvice). The most visited section is Skradinski Buk. If you have a full day, combining Biograd with Krka makes for an excellent trip.
